PHAC Announcement for Injury Prevention Funding: The Government of Canada Supports Initiative to Reduce Injuries Among Children and Youth on Ski Hills
Collingwood, Ontario – The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport), on behalf of the Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Federal Minister of Health, today announced support forSNOWSMART — a project to increase awareness among children and youth about ski and snowboard safety and protect younger children from collisions on ski hills.

The Sandbox Project will provide the leadership to act as a catalyst for change in Canada. We will work directly with parents, business, health industry leaders, governments and non-governmental organizations to raise awareness, pursue research, collaborate to develop solutions and better public policy.
