The Sandbox Summit is a workshop-style event that brings together non-profits, corporate Canada, researchers, health practitioners, policy makers, young people and families. Collaboratively, we work toward finding practical, multi-sector solutions to address the health and wellbeing challenges faced by Canada’s children and youth.

2018 theme: Reaching for the Top turns 10
This year’s Summit will mark the tenth anniversary of The Sandbox Project’s foundational report, Reaching for the Top: A Report by the Advisor on Healthy Children and Youth. Reaching for the Top highlighted that Canada was slipping further behind its peer countries when it comes to key health indicators for children and youth. It proposed a number of recommendations for how all sectors need to work together if we are to see meaningful improvement.
When it comes to child and youth health, is Canada becoming the leader it wants to be?
Join us as we take a collaborative look at Canada’s progress: What has changed in 10 years? Looking ahead to the next 10 years, what are the strategic priorities for action?
Hosted by Canadian Beach Volleyball Olympian Martin Reader and featuring an exciting mix of presentations and collaborative sessions from across child and youth health and wellbeing, the 2018 Sandbox Summit is not to be missed.
