This webinar will review the landscape of food and beverage marketing to children in Canada to explore: (1) where children may be exposed to food marketing (at school, grocery stores, fast food restaurants, and home), and (2) the potential collective impact of multiple exposures to food marketing. New research in public recreation facilities will be discussed using photos to describe the nature and extent of its food and beverage marketing. Actions that can be taken by the public and policy-makers to help reduce children’s exposure to and the impact of unhealthy food and beverage marketing in Canada will be suggested.
The webinar will be presented by Dr. Kim Raine, RD and Rachel Prowse, RD from the Alberta Policy Coalition for Chronic Disease Prevention (APCCP).
