A Social Justice Approach in Youth Programming: The Guys Can Cook! Program - Webinar

Please note: Eastern Time Zone.

The Guys Can Cook! program (GCC) is a health promotion initiative focused on nutrition and food skills development among male teenagers. Three years of the GCC project delivery across seven neighbourhoods in West Toronto resulted in the development of a program model that is rooted in a social justice and anti-oppression framework. It offers a youth informed approach to program development and implementation.

During the Guys Can Cook! webinar, an interdisciplinary team will share lessons learned about applying a social justice and anti-oppression framework, enabling youth engagement, and supporting youth participation. The GCC team will also share resources from the Guys Can Cook! program, including the program manual and the Guys Can Cook! cookbook.

This webinar is co-hosted by HC Link and the Nutrition Resource Centre (NRC).
