How Do School Communities Become Healthier Places for Learning?
The 2015 Healthy School Communities National Forum will equip you with the tools, evidence, network, and motivation to support schools become more comprehensive in their approach to school health and move toward healthier outcomes.
Through keynotes, plenaries and breakout sessions, you will discover strategies for fostering a healthy school community, hear and share stories of successful initiatives, gain an understanding of how to use evidence in support of a healthy school community approach, and be motivated to affect positive change in your local school or school jurisdiction.
A healthy school community increases student well-being and learning by promoting a culture of wellness for all members of the community. A whole-school approach recognizes the relationship between health and learning, and when students are healthy, learning outcomes are positively affected.
It takes a community to create the healthy environment children require to be successful learners and contributing citizens. School administrators, educators, community partners, students and parents all have a role to play. Join us on November 16 and 17 to make a positive change for your school community.
