The Mental Health Academy is a signature TeenMentalHealth.org event furthering education in mental health using evidence-based research and programs. Led by Dr. Stan Kutcher, Sun Life Financial Chair in Adolescent Mental Health, the fifth edition of The Academy will take place on July 21 and 22, 2017 at Halifax West High School in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
This year’s program will feature dynamic leaders in the field of adolescent mental health. The two-day event will cover the latest information on adolescent brain development, school staff self-care, what to do after a tragic death, Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use, Eating Disorders and much more. The presenters will give you the knowledge, understanding and tools you need to better support students dealing with mental health challenges.
