60 Minute Kids’ Club Amalgamates with Sport for Life Society

Victoria, BC – The Sport for Life Society is excited to announce that the organization amalgamated the operations of 60 Minutes Kids’ Club into its suite of programs and services. The Sport for Life Society is recognized as the international experts on the Sport for Life movement, Long-Term Athlete Development, and physical literacy development. 60 Minute Kids Club is a program that has helped more than 78,000 elementary students from over 400 schools across Canada learn healthy habits over the past six years.

Sport for Life and 60 Minutes Kids’ Club decided to join forces since their goals align strongly around creating user-friendly entry points and pathways to physical literacy that will address and satisfy many of the provincial, national and international opportunities around physical literacy development. Sport for Life has been the leader in Canada in the physical literacy movement, and provides tools, assessment, expertise and resources to the health, recreation, education and sport sectors to develop quality sport and physical literacy programs. 60 Minute Kids’ Club offers the Fundamental Movement Skills Assessment Tool and Healthy Habits Tracker and has primarily offered this in the education setting.

Through the new relationship, the 60 Minute Kids’ Club products and services will now be part of Sport for Life’s suite of physical literacy products, and will allow the organization to enhance the Healthy Habits Tracker and Fundamental Movement Skills Assessment Tool to a broader audience in multiple sectors.
